  • Tebow at QB: Get over it, Tim
INDIANAPOLIS — Where will Tim Tebow play in 2013?

Ask a coach or personnel type the question, and you get a shrug of the shoulders. No one can offer a solid prediction. Tebow’s future is one of the mysteries of the scouting combine — assuming, of course, that he and the Jets part ways in the coming weeks.

Some, including former GM Bill Polian, believe Tebow must abandon his desire to be a full-time quarterback in order to land another job in the league.

  • Maysonet arrives with something to prove
INDIANAPOLIS — Miguel Maysonet, Stony Brook’s record-setting running back, arrived at the scouting combine with a chip on his shoulder.

“I have to prove to people I belong here,” he told the media Friday.

The small-school phenom, trying to become the first draft pick in Stony Brook history, won’t be able to give NFL scouts a full demonstration of his ability. Still bothered by a hamstring injury from early January, Maysonet said he will skip the 40-yard dash during Sunday’s running back drills, pushing it back to his pro day, March 21.

  • Notes: No Tebow talk — yet
INDIANAPOLIS — Tim Tebow’s days with the Jets appear numbered, but they apparently haven’t divulged their plans to Tebow yet.

Tebow’s agent, Jimmy Sexton, told reporters Friday at the scouting combine that he hasn’t talked with the Jets about his client’s future. Tebow is under contract for two more years, but a parting of the ways is imminent. The Jets will try to trade the World’s Most Famous Backup Quarterback, but they probably will end up releasing him after the start of the league year, March 12.
