- Jets-Giants: 5 things to watch
Eight months later, Victor Cruz still is running in the minds of the Jets. OK, enough torture. Let’s focus on Saturday night, the 44th preseason meeting between the Jets and Giants and the second annual MetLife Bowl.
It’s a Jets home game, which means we need to start with a logo update: No, they’re not planning to pull a repeat of last Christmas Eve, when they covered the Giants’ Super Bowl logos on the wall outside their locker room — an ill-advised move that angered the Giants and sparked a pregame controversy.
- PRESEASON PREVIEW: GIANTS @ JETS
The Battle of the Big Apple. The Metopolitan Melee at MetLife. Possible Preview of Super Bowl XLVII??
OK, before I get too ahead of myself, the match-up between the New York Giants and the New York Jets will not live up to any of the potential theses grandiose titles offer. For those thinking this game offers [...] - Jets vs Giants: MetLife Bowl
Giants @ Jets August 18, 2012 We all know what we saw in the Bengals game was extremely vanilla. Very simple blitz packages, very simple coverages and an extremely simplified offensive game plan. That happens with most NFL teams in the first preseason game of the season. However, now as fans, we need to see [...]

- Jets’ final QB stats: Not pretty
The Jets spent a lot of time talking up Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow in training camp, but their final statistics from Cortland don’t support the superlatives.
We’re talking about a combined 51-percent completion rate, unofficially.
ESPNNewYork.com recorded the Sanchez and Tebow stats every day during the three-week run in Cortland. The numbers are ugly, to be sure, but there were mitigating factors: a new offensive system, a banged-up receiving corps and some moving parts on the offensive line, especially early in camp.
- Sources: Demps picks Patriots
So much for Tim Tebow’s powers of persuasion.
His former college teammate, Olympic speedster Jeff Demps, has decided to sign with the Patriots, as confirmed by Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston.com. It was first reported by Fox 13 in Tampa.
The Jets were “very interested” in Demps, his agent said Thursday. They saw Demps as the home-run hitter they lack on offense. GM Mike Tannenbaum picked Tebow’s brain on Demps, with Tebow telling reporters that he planned to give Demps a call.
