In the early 1970s, Connie Carberg was hired by the Jets, eventually becoming the first female talent scout in the NFL. She spent long nights breaking down tape and writing player reports, eventually spotting Mark Gastineau and bringing him to the Jets.
Now living in Florida, she will once come to the Jets training camp to see old friends and evaluate the prospects. I asked for her assessment of the 2012 Jets so far.
