Tim Tebow, quarterback of the New York Jets, formerly with the Denver Broncos, gave a special Father’s Day thrill to Jacob Wallis, father of baby Izaiah who was paralyzed by a teen drunk driver.
While addressing a Father’s Day gathering at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, CA sponsored by Shadow Mountain Community Church, Tim came off the platform to present two autographed jerseys to Jacob and his 3 year old son Izaiah. Baby Izaiah was being wheeled in his stroller on the sidewalk by his grandpa on the way to the park when they were violently struck by a teen drunk driver. Izaiah is still fighting for his life on a ventilator, feeding tube, oxygen and tracheotomy.
His father left his job to become his son’s full-time caregiver. While Tim presented the jerseys to the stunned father who had tears in his eyes, the entire stadium chanted “Izaiah” and “Jacob”. The special presentation was arranged by Passion 4 K.I.D.S. Charity founded by Charles and Linda Van Kessler.
