Jets Safety Ed Reed was robbed to the tune of $50,000

Here is an updated New York Jets News item:  Jets Safety Ed Reed was robbed to the tune of $50,000 … when burglars allegedly followed him out of a Houston bank and stole a big bag of cash from his car.

In this day of the digital age, you can PayPal it (nah, too much of a commission).  You can write a check, take out a money order, or wire transfer the money.  Just saying.

I’m not an NFL Player, and I don’t have access to that kind of cash.  Some people on twitter are upset that the media is reporting this story, but the bottom line is:  it is a story.  People just don’t carry that kind of cash with them.

One person said that people usually withdrawal this amount of cash when they don’t want to be tracked.  Maybe.  Or maybe the people taking out the money aren’t the sharpest tools in the shed when it comes to finances.
