After the Jets victory against the Rams yesterday, recovering WR Santonio Holmes took a little shot at his former offensive coordinator and current Rams OC Brian Schottenheimer.
Holmes, who was lost for the season with a foot injury in Week 4, was benched by Schottenheimer during the team’s meltdown in last season’s finale. When Holmes left the locker room afterward, he passed Schottenheimer but neither acknowledged the other.
Earlier in the week, Schottenheimer, now the Rams’ offensive coordinator, maintained that he was fine with the way things ended with the Jets. Still, he pumped his fist and looked across the field at the Jets’ sideline after the Rams scored a TD on the opening drive.
The Rams achieved little else.
