Dolphins have until 1PM today to avoid a Blackout

I don’t think I ever remember the Jets having this problem.  What’s nice about the Dolphins scrambling to sell the tickets tells me that their fans never take their own team seriously.

Also, who wants to bet that there will be more green in the stance than ever.  It happens time and time again, and to hear the Jets chant on television makes me smile BIG!

The Dolphins’ practice of buying up unsold seats to avoid a local-TV blackout is coming to an end — possibly as early as this weekend when the New York Jets visit Sun Life Stadium.

Dolphins spokesman Harvey Greene said Thursday that the team had requested and received an extension of the 72-hour blackout rule until 1 p.m. Friday.

But if the Dolphins don’t sell the required 51,000 non-premium seats in time, there is no guarantee the CBS telecast at 1 p.m. Sunday will be available in South Florida. – Source
