Jets’ Training Camp Day 4 Practice Highlights

Jets’ Training Camp Day 4 Practice Highlights

Today was the fourth day in a row the Jets practiced and the second time they were full pads.  Temperatures hit the low 90′s and fans were out in full force even for an early Monday morning.

  • The defense is wearing the black jerseys because of “winning” practice on Sunday.
  • The players in rehab grew, Kerley, Griffin, Steed, Dowtin, D. Ganaway, Fletcher, Otah working to the side.
  • Demario Davis, Jordan White, and Terrance Campbell all have been activated from the PUP list.
  • Bilal Powell continues to impress.  He’s holding his own and RB coach Anthony Lyn is saying he could be the third down back.
  • Revis was out participating in 11 on 11 drills.  Just like he said, no big deal.
  • Landry was also in 11 on 11 drills in the nickel package.
  • The team said they are expecting Mo Wilkerson to have a breakout year, well today he had a “sack” on Mark Sanchez.
  • When Tebow was in, he took off on a scramble for a 25 yard run and the crowd erupted.
  • The wide receivers continue the case of the dropsies:  Schilens and Pollard had their share.
  • Greg McElroy continues to struggle.  He mishandled a snap and then almost threw an interception.  He also was sacks by Ricky Sapp, Josh Mauga and Brett Roy in 11 on 11s.
  • LB Ricky Sapp looks very strong today.
  • @janesports reports: Tebow 2/3 passing, Sanchez 3/4 after 2 team series. Going hard even in pads.
  • Kenrick Ellis is having a nice practice, heard he blew up a couple of runs.
  • TE Hayden Smith had the case of the fumbles.
  • CB Antonio Cromartie took some reps as WR.
  • MMehtaNYDN: Sanchez finishes 5 for 9 ad sacked once in 18 snaps. Tebow was 4 for 6 with a 25 yard run in 13 snaps. #nyj
