One player that stood out on day 3 of training camp was LB Aaron Maybin. Everyone who witnessed practice first hand said his motor was constantly running. I saw this tweet from beat writer Rich Cimini and had to laugh. You are telling Maybin to relax? Yeah right.

I’m a huge fan of Maybin. In fact I bought the “Mayhem Jets Jersey” last year without a blink. I knew the guy was going to only improve and getting his second chance with the New York Jets has been tremendous for the linebacker. I like to tease the #BillsMafia crew about their “bust” but with his second chance and Aaron looking great, could we say Pro-Bowl this year? Let’s not make that prediction yet, but it wouldn’t be the craziest thing I’ve said.
Here are Aaron’s quotes from today. The guy was so amped that after he spoke them, he ran for an IV.
“Where else would you rather be?”
“The first day of pads is like Christmas Day. It’s the first time you get a chance to put hands on somebody and let it really mean something.”
“The entire time you’re going through OTAs and minicamp, it’s all about being a good teammate and making sure you’re getting good work, you’re giving people a good look, and taking care of each other. But once you put the pads on, it’s time to compete ’cause you got to find out who can play this game and who can’t.”
Aaron tweeted a picture of himself hooked into an IV and then later his meal. Wow that’s a lot of food:

Offensive Coordinator, Marty Mornhinweg, was unavailable to explain himself to the media after the game Sunday, but Yahoo sports have reached out this morning and here are some quotes from the Jets' OC.
