Here are some random quick hits for June 28th with my quick thoughts on each topic.
Revis gets mad respect from his fellow NFL players
The NFL implemented a change, does this affect Jets games?
Tebow, the Home Wrecker?
Hit 1: Revis Voted #5 of the Best in the NFL by his Peers
Revis is the last of the shutdown corners. The guy can own half of the football field just by showing up to work, a point that shouldn’t be overlooked in today’s pass-happy NFL. And it’s not a surprise he was the top defensive player in the Top 100.
Revis is the best defensive player in the league as voted by his peers. Yup, I’ll take that. Overall he was voted the 5th best player in the league. I honestly was tweeting last night that I thought he would land to the 3rd spot. Of course a Patriot has to be voted higher, some QB, but overall only two Jets made this list.
The kickoff time for Sunday late afternoon doubleheader games on CBS and FOX will be moved from 4:15 PM ET to 4:25 PM ET, the NFL announced today.
The 4:05 PM ET kickoff time for games not on the doubleheader network will remain unchanged. The 4:25 PM ET kickoff time will reduce instances in which fans miss the end of a 1:00 PM ET game telecast because they must receive the opening kickoff of their home team’s late-afternoon game. In addition, fans not in the cities of the late doubleheader opponents will be less likely to miss the beginning of the late doubleheader game.
In researching the kickoff time shift, the NFL analyzed games from the 2009-11 seasons and found that 44 games required part of the audience to be switched to a mandatory doubleheader game kickoff. With a 4:25 PM ET kickoff time, that number that would have been reduced by 66 percent to only 15 games.

This change affects two Jets games and they are both on the road. So…. I’m good. I come in from PA and any delay for my trip home would kind of stink, but 10 minutes still is no big deal.
Fans shouldn’t have a problem with this change. Obviously the big reason the NFL implemented this was to avoid an overlap that happened quite a bit from the 1pm game going longer.
Hit 3: Tebow is the second highest voted Home Wrecker
Dream all you want, Tim would NEVER do it.
If you ask woman what athletes they would cheat on their spouses with you’d get a Hall of Fame roster.
AshleyMadison.com, the website that caters to those looking for extramarital affairs, polled 13,500 women on that exact question. Actually they asked for a top 3.
Here are your leaders:
David Beckham, 43.1%; Tim Tebow, 19.5%; Tom Brady, 17.9%, Derek Jeter, 16.5%; Alex Rodriguez, 13.2%; Cristiano Ronaldo, 11%; Michael Phelps, 10.5%; Peyton Manning, 9.6 %; Aaron Rodgers, 9.5%; Kelly Slater, 9.2%.
Dumb, just dumb. This is what we are polling people for? I’m so glad that Ashley Madison exists. SMH. On a stupid note, at least a Jets player beat out a Patriot. See Hit #1 where Revis lost to Brady.
Offensive Coordinator, Marty Mornhinweg, was unavailable to explain himself to the media after the game Sunday, but Yahoo sports have reached out this morning and here are some quotes from the Jets' OC.
