The New York Jets locker room was open to the media for the first time in this NFL calendar year and the majority of the interest was wrapped around Tim Tebow, Mark Sanchez and the starting role. People were grilling Mark and Tim asking them if Tim is content as being the backup.
The Jets have stated that Tim will be added as a “wrinkle” to the offense and special teams, but up to this point Tim has been only learning the offense as a QB.

Despite the speculation about the “wrinkle” Tim Tebow will add to the Jets offense, the Jets haven’t yet started installing it.
Tebow, the Jets’ new back-up quarterback, said so far he’s done all his work at quarterback during the first four weeks of the team’s offseason program. That means on the field and in the meeting room, he’s been learning the Jets offense as a quarterback first, not fullback, H-back or any of the other possible ways the Jets could use him.
When asked if he’s been told he’ll be used on special teams, Tebow said, “They haven’t told me anything.”
I believe they want Tebow to get one role down solid before moving installing more roles at different positions. Do I think Tebow will eventually be the starter this year: NO (unless there is an injury)
Mark will be the starter and I believe with this much simpler offense (seems that way), the Jets and Mark will have better success than the previous season. Tim Tebow will be a big part of it, but not as the starting QB.
