The New York Jets made two signings shortly after 4pm hit yesterday, Bryan Thomas the Jets LB and Kristopher O’Dowd, a backup center. I wouldn’t even call this a ripple, but don’t worry Jets fans, players are scheduled to come to New Jersey to the Jets facility this week and there are a couple of big names in the mix.
The Jets investigated the safety market, showing interest in LaRon Landry, Brandon Meriweather and Reggie Nelson. I’m not too thrilled with this lineup but it’s slim pickings. I feel that the Jets need to get one veteran Safety through free agency, draft a young talented guy and then stick with Eric Smith and Jim Leonhard. We also have Gerald Alexander.
Don’t stand around the fire if You don’t expect to sweat

The Jets reached out to Chad Henne, according to a source, but he set up visits with the Jaguars and Seahawks, according to multiple reports. The Jets are looking for a veteran QB to backup up Mark Sanchez not necessarily to push him. Henne won’t come on the cheap and he’s probably too expensive to be a backup so the Jets have reached out to Drew Stanton. Keep in mind Greg McElroy, who’s not ready, will be pushing whoever they sign to be the number two but most likely I think Greg ends up the third QB.
I love Detroit & would not hesitate to go back to the Lions. There are so many scenarios that could play out, I just have to wait and see!!!

It’s clear to me that the Jets are not about the splash but the ripple so far at least in this year’s free agency. Chaz Schilens Who? Exactly. He’s a 6-foot-4, 225-pound receiver from the Raiders, and the Jets now have Oackland’s former WR coach Sanjay Lal so there is the connection. He must know something that others do not as he was with him last year. The Cards are also interested.
Another name popping up is Laruent Robinson from the Dallas cowboys. He came out of nowhere last year and now is getting some serious looks but other teams are hot on the WR as well.
Only way to get thru soreness is to push thru it!
