Leon Washington is shaking something at the Jets

Leon Washington put out the shortest yet condemning tweet of them all so far in my opinion.  It basically means a lot coming from a high quality guy the Jets let go because of his leg injury.  A guy who by the way is a captain of his new team and is succeeding and producing the way he used to with the Jets.

Acronym for ‘shake my head’ or ‘shaking my head.’ Usually used when someone finds something so stupid, no words can do it justice. Sometimes it’s modified to ‘smfh’ or ‘smmfh’ by those that prefer profanity in their internet acronyms.

    Holy Moly, this one came from LEFT Field?! I am surprised really by Faneca, but not so much Thomas. Ellis is a bit of a surprise but I get it, they are getting old and looks like they will be targeting the draft to replace or trade.

    thats a weak article, i expected more feedback and what you think could come of this, such as where they could go in the draft and how it shakes up what theyre doing.

    That throws a wrench into everything. I had a feeling they’d try to trade with more picks, but with Leon as the bait. I don’t know who’s going to be willing to take on all of these 30+ year old guys and get a good return out of it

    didn’t they learn anything from letting Kendall go? Don’t mess around with the line now MT! Ellis or Thomas ok if they have to, but keep Fanaca!!

    I just don’t get it. The team was relatively successful last year. Sure, there were/are areas that could be improved, but it’s as though Tannenbaum thinks he has to have all the answers.

    A little more stability and a little less glitz please.

      Yeah, I don’t know how realiable this info is… Could be a bunch of bull, so you have to take it with a grain of salt BUT, if it is true I think Mr. T is now doing too much.

      We probably have been the most active and I think it’s safe to say that we have already made some big splashes. I know Ellis is OLD, but he’s an anchor on the line. Same with Faneca on the other side. Thomas, I wouldn’t cry so much.

    This news really leaves open to what the Jets will do in the 2010 Draft. Could it just be a smoke screen? Alan Faneca is the player that surprises me the most. Reports did say that Bryan Thomas wasn’t going anywhere after it was originally thought that, since the Jets were looking at Jason Taylor. Shaun Ellis made the Pro Bowl last year but like I mentioned they are all getting up in age and what I really thought they’d do, was just add depth to those poitions during the Draft. If the Jets need to replace these players via the Draft, plus add a possible safety, wide receiver or depth, they wouldn’t have enough picks in the draft because currently they only have five. I think that just Faneca will be let go and they’ll hold on to Thomas and Ellis one more year.

    I thought Faneca was guaranteed one more year’s salary. If that’s so, they can trade him, but they can’t release him without paying him the rest of the guaranteed money on his contract.

    Faneca has done his job and was expendable…The Front Office , might of waited too long…Probably will get nothing for Alan, but opens possibilities for long-term contracts for our young talents…Now it looks like, Slauson will line-up between…Faneca’s mentorship players Brick & Mangold…Where I believe Matt will learn and excell there….
