Rex Told Maybin “Sacks in the 4th Quarter Win Football Games”

Q)How important are late sack to close out games?

Maybin: We’ve been harping for the past couple of weeks, about not letting our worst drive be our last drive. Not allowing teams to finish in crunch time, being able to buckle down at the appropriate time. Right before the play, Coach [Rex] Ryan came to me on the sidelines and said, ‘Sacks in the fourth quarter win football games.’ So that was the mentality of our whole defense. So for us to be able to go out and close them out was pretty good.
