September 11th is More than Just a Football Game

There is a ton of hype, emotions, and story lines heading into the game on Sunday Night vs. the Dallas Cowboys to be hosted by the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium, but none greater than the 10th anniversary of 9-11.

All About 9-11

It's going to be an Emotional Game

The 10th year anniversary of the worst attack on American soil is on game day.  The New York Jets will be doing a lot on game day to commemorate the day.

  • What is normally a verbal attack between the Ryan brothers has been a toned down version leading up to the game out of respect for the survivors of 9-11 and their loved ones.
  • Mark Sanchez did his part by donating $25k along with Hugo Boss to support the families of the tragedy.
  • The Jets players and coaches will be wearing this on their Jerseys for the game.
  • Rex talked earlier in the week saying that he knows the game is big because of 9-11 and felt a little more pressure than usual.

Mark is Working with Ron Howard, Director of "Backdraft"

NY Jets QB Mark Sanchez is marking the 10th anniversary of 9/11 with a new fundraising campaign to benefit the families of fallen NY firefighters … with a little help from his dad (and Ron Howard).

The shirt features the slogan “You Go, We Go” — a line suggested by Mark’s father Nick Sanchez … a veteran firefighter … and obvious fan of the Ron Howard movie “Backdraft” … where the quote originated.

I bought mine!  Make sure you support Mark and his charity.
