Ryan was asked about Sunday being the 10th anniversary of the devastating 9/11 attacks, and admitted this upcoming game feels more significant because of that. ‘The significance of it,’ he said, ‘I think it’s stronger than any game I’ve ever felt. I feel more pressure on this game, for whatever reason, than any game I’ve ever coached, it seems like.’
Ryan added, ‘I know it’s football. We’re not talking about life or death. … My job is to get this team ready to go. And we will [be ready].’
He also said he ‘can’t explain … why I feel this way or whatever. I just do.’
