The Jets suffered a potentially significant blow in the first half of the preseason finale against the Eagles tonight. The Daily News has learned that rookie quarterback Greg McElroy dislocated his right thumb. A source tells the News that the preliminary diagnosis is that a small piece broke off from the dislocation. The team will have a better idea of how long McElroy will be out after x-rays are taken.
