Per Dennis Waszak Jr. – Fullback John Conner was in a walking boot with a sprained left ankle and won’t practice this week or play in the preseason finale Thursday night against Philadelphia. Ryan is hopeful Conner will be ready for the season opener on Sept. 11 against Dallas.
“He’s an awfully tough kid,” Ryan said.
