Due to the concerns regarding Saturday’s weather forecast, game time for Giants vs. Jets at MetLife Stadium has been moved to 2 p.m.
The Giants, who are the host team against the Jets on Saturday night, were monitoring Hurricane Irene but didn’t expect to change the 7 p.m. start time due to Hurricane Irene.
A Giants spokesman said forecasts called for any severe weather from the storm to hit Sunday morning, long after the original kickoff time.
There is a 30 percent chance of rain Saturday night, according to the National Weather Service.
Jets coach Rex Ryan earlier Thursday said he had not been in contact with anyone from the Giants or the NFL about moving the start time.
