Sticking to standard procedure, Jets coach Rex Ryan said he will play his starters through the first series of the second half on Saturday against the Giants.
“Just so they come out and get used to it,” the coach said today. “We won’t extend it more than that.”
Ryan played his starters for the first quarter against the Texans in the preseason opener and for two full quarters against the Bengals last Sunday.
Ryan said he does not use a game plan in preseason games, contrary to other teams around the league.
