Dan Leberfeld from Jets Confidential Reports that Braylon was probably involved in that fight that happened over the weekend. If that’s the case, I wonder if ANY team let alone the NFL will let him play this season.
Braylon Edwards could be in hot water again.
“Edwards might have been more involved in a fight Monday at South Bar in downtown Birmingham than first believed,” wrote Jay Grossman in the Detroit Free-Press. “The NFL star was at the bar with his two cousins in the early morning hours when an argument turned into a brawl that resulted in one bouncer being stabbed in the neck with a fork and a second bouncer being stabbed in the hand with a pocket knife . . . neither bouncer was seriously injured. . . .
“Privately, employees at South Bar said Edwards was spurring on his cousins rather than trying to get them to stop fighting. They also said former NBA star Jalen Rose was at the bar and tried to break up the ruckus. Police say several Detroit Tigers players also were at the bar with a different group of people and not involved in the fight.”
I had written earlier that the Jets should stay clear of resigning him even though Rex stated today that he would sign him.
