Jets Bart Scott Took a Pay Cut
TheJetsStream Source confirms that #Jets linebacker Bart Scott did take a pay cut for 2011. He was scheduled to earn $4.9M base salary this year. #nyj 8/1/11 1:43 PM

    i think the jets had legitimate reasons to ask him to take a small cut, he is awesome, but im sure im not the only fan that expected to see a beast out there and he couldnt get off blocks at times, not all his fault though since our D-Line was in-effective OL could get to the next level, but i wish he would unleash that beast that us JETS fans know is there

      He couldn’t get off blocks? His job isn’t to get sacks. His job is to open up the play to Harris and others. You see him going after LINEMEN and knocking them on their butts. No other LB does that. He’s a major part of the defense and being so selfless and getting no recognition for it would be hard for any other LB in the league. He’s a major part of the dirty work for this team.
