Todd Heap is a tremendous player, but that cat has had a lot of injuries, a lot of wear-and-tear.

Manish Mehta from the Daily News Reports:
Ryan rolled out the red carpet for the veteran tight end by picking him up at Newark Liberty International Airport Saturday night, according to a source. Ryan grabbed Heap in a bear hug before driving off in a SUV. The News has learned that the Jets haven’t made an offer to the veteran tight end yet. A deal wasn’t imminent as of Saturday night. But the 31-year-old Heap, who had 40 receptions for 599 yards and five touchdowns in 13 games last season, would be an intriguing option alongside Dustin Keller. The Patriots’ two-headed tight end monster of Aaron Hernandez and Rob Gronkowski thrived last season.
Maybe a Keller-Heap combination would be just as productive.
This sounds very intriguing. Instead of the Jets focusing on a WR to replace Braylon, the Jets are going to bring in a second TE. Sound familiar? Eh HEM….. Patriots.
